C.H. Wittrock

C.H. (Cletus) Wittrock, 92, of Okarche, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, at First Shamrock Care Center in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

C.H. was born July 30, 1917, in Okarche, Okla., to Joe and Rose (Nieland) Wittrock.

On July 30, 1941, he married Loretta Alig and they lived in the Okarche community their entire lives.

C.H.'s life was filled with his faith, his family, his wheat crops and his cattle.

C.H. was the proud father of four children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Rose Cook and her husband Carl of Oklahoma City; Jim and his wife Jan of Kingfisher; Louise Craig and her husband Norman of Yukon, and Juanita Krittenbrink and her husband Mike of Okarche.

C.H's grandchildren include Teresa Harris and her husband Loren, Susan Schneberger and her husband Jake, Rebecca Green and her husband Mike, Andrea Wittrock, Bill Craig and his wife Suzanne, Jim Craig and his wife Lisa, Amy Dyer and her husband Tanner, and Ryan Krittenbrink. Great-grandchildren are Lindsey and Jay Harris, Blake Schneberger, Connor Green and Cora and Logan Craig. Cletus is also survived by his youngest brother, Carl of Oklahoma City, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cletus was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; his parents, Joe and Rose Wittrock, and five of his brothers and sisters, Herbert, Mildred Wittrock Pappe, Louis, Lawrence, and Rita Wittrock Forman.

C.H. was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where he served as church usher and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. C.H. was also a member of various agricultural and livestock producer organizations. C.H. will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend and neighbor to many. His greatest loves besides his faith, his family and his friends were his joys of fishing (including noodling), farming, gardening, playing cards and going to the coffee shop.

Funeral services will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and interment at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Okarche, under direction of Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher.

Memorials may be made to the Center of Family Love in Okarche, OK or Holy Trinity Catholic Church Building Fund.
