Mass of the Christian burial for Karen M. Boes of Carroll will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 1996, at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.

Mrs. Boes, 54, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1996, at her home.

The Revs. Steve McLoud, James McCormick and Merlin Schrad will officiate the Mass.

Born June 7, 1942, at Carroll, she was a daughter of Leo H. and Helen (Eischeid) Heithoff. She graduated from Kuemper High School in 1961.

She and Thomas Boes were married Oct. 7, 1961, at Holy Angles Church in Roselle with the Rev. Norbert Boes officiating.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and the Ladies Guild.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Boes, of Carroll; two daughters: Carla Losh and her husband, Gregory, of Council Bluffs and Michelle Barrett and her husband, Timothy, of Omaha, Neb.; two sons: Rob Boes and his wife, Janell, of Omaha, and Cory Boes and his wife, Denise, of Omaha; her mother, Helen Heithoff, of Carroll; four grandchildren; Melissa Losh, Brittany Losh, Brian Barrett and Maggie Barrett; six brothers and sisters: Glenn Heithoff and his wife, Dottie, of Carroll, Pat Morenz and her husband, Bert, of Auburn, Carlene Dorpinghaus and her husband, Keith, of Coon Rapids, Gene Heithoff and his wife, Diane, of Rock Valley, Jerry Heithoff and his special friend, Trish, of Great Falls, Mont., and Joyce Simons and her husband, Phil, of Carroll; and her mother-in-law, Nina Boes, of Breda.

Mrs. Boes was preceded in death by her father, Leo Heithoff, earlier this year; a son, Bret A. Boes, in 1986, a brother, Joseph Heithoff; and her father-in-law, Leonard Boes.
