Theodore Ludwig Boes 1876-1950

Funeral Will Be Held Friday Morning

The community was saddened here Tuesday afternoon when Theo. L. Boes passed to his reward. He suffered a heart attack while getting into his car on the west side of the Pool Hall. He was taken to Dr. T.H. Van Camp's office where he died at 3:30 p.m. January 31. Mr. Boes had been ill but was feeling better and was able to be up and around.

Theo. L. Boes, son of Gerd and Anna Boes, was born September 20, 1876, on a farm in Sac county. He died at the age of 73 years.

He moved to Carroll county in 1901 when he married Miss Anna Schulte in St. Bernard's church on November 19. The following children were born to this union: Anthony of Wall Lake; Philomena (Mrs. Math Thelen), Breda: Albert, Breda; Matilda (Mrs. Fred Thelen), Breda; Clarence, Glidden; Rose (Mrs. Arnold Ludwig) Lake City; Edmund, Ray, and Earl, Breda; one son, Clemens, died at the age of 5 years.

He also leaves to mourn 37 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The following brothers and sisters are living: John, Mrs. Dora Mueggenborg of Okarche, Okla., Mrs. Max Reising, Joseph, all of Breda; Mrs. Leo Schulte of Wall Lake, Ida (Mrs. Joe Grabner), Elizabeth (Mrs. Ben Steinkamp). A brother Henry preceded him in death.

In 1946 he retired from farming on his farm northwest of Breda and moved with his wife to Breda to make his home.

He was a member of St. Bernard's church and also a member of the Holy Name society.

Funeral service will be help at St. Bernard's church at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Olerich Funeral home were in charge of the funeral arrangements. The body will be brought back to the home this afternoon
